Frank Cushing - Fleet Captain Cruising
           Frank Cushing

As I write this article we are preparing for the first cruise of the 2011 season. There are 14 boats signed up for an easy anchor off of Gilchrist Park and dinner at Jack’s. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

The next cruise is set for February 26 and will be a cruise of the upper harbor.  This cruise is in need of a captain so if you feel familiar with the upper harbor and would like to lead a cruise contact Chuck Witzke or me and step up.  Email pgsccruising@comcast.net to volunteer or sign up for a cruise

The new sign up system of using all email to register is working very smoothly. I would like to thank you all for your cooperation in making the change over run so smoothly.

Finally, I would like to introduce everyone to the Activecaptian.com website. This website has been growing by leaps and bounds into one of the best sources of cruising information on the net.  Beside showing NOAA charts and google earth images, it contains reviews of anchorages made by fellow cruisers.  The reviews that I looked at for the places I have been have been spot on in detail and opinion.  If you haven’t tried it give a look.
